New Year

'Synchro-mystically', this fact yields poetic confirmation that the 'real' virus is no mere germ, but a state of being equally contagious and potentially much more deadly: the 'reptilian (or predator) consciousness.' Her character, the aptly-named Dr Krippen, is clearly inspired by the notorious Victorian murderer Hawley Crippen; the distinctive spelling, however, and the hard K-sound, is a well-known reptilian 'fingerprint', based on the fact that its hieroglyphic equivalent was drawn as a serpent (cf. Meredith Kercher.)

Yes... ITV showed the Hammer version of Quatermass and the Pit last night. Well, this morning, I had to be up at ten past three to watch it, but it was very good. The plot, basically, is that an alien craft from Mars, millions of years old, is discovered during work on an Underground station. As it absorbs power from the environment it comes back to life, taking psychic control of those humans with genes similar enough to their alien progenitors and giving them psychokinetic powers which they can use to kill all other humans, as the aliens apparently purged their own hives of those they considered inferior.

It was, you see, an influence which could overwhelm the personalities and individualism of human beings.

If I had time I would look at the Gharaniq incident, but I haven't. The Satanic Verses. Mohammad, supposedly so fiercely monotheistic and patriarchal was willing to allow the worship of goddesses. Which supports my belief that, as with fascism, Islam is a move of the feminine power, a hysterical religion predicated on abuse.

Maybe another time.
