Butterfly Kisses

Something from Usenet:

Thank you for the original post. Texas Woman's Univeristy, a Texas State University, actually requires all of it's Bachelor of Science Nursing students to take and pass a course in Womens Studies. I complained about the same in writing to then Governor of Texas, George W. Bush (now President of the USA), stating that the same amounted to a "political test" for professional advancement and nursing licensure such that the same was unConstitutional. I never received a reply from him regarding the same.

In nursing in the USA, if you do not adhere to the irrational, illogical, sexist and highly discriminatory mantra: " Men are not discriminated against in employment and education. Therefore, men do not need laws nor the protection of laws against discrimination in employment and education. Women are discriminated against in education and employment. Therefore, they should have laws and the promulgation of laws giving them preferrential treatment in the same.", you will be subject to discrimination in employment and education.

Men only represent about 6% of nurses. Men leave nursing at about twice the rate as women. Men leave nursing school at a higher rate than women.

Given the aforementioned, it is clear that discrimination against men in nursing is wide spread, accepted, and highly organized.

Who says Usenet's no good?

And from the RI board:

It seems the show is fairly indiscrimiate in terms of offender social strata. Pedophillia is presented democratically. Naturally, there won't be too many featured politicians or police officers, but I have seen at least one white doctor as well as the Conradt case. Presumably the procurers for the PNAC gang have other avenues available besides internet chat rooms.

Dateline Predator lets everyone know that the guy next door is a pervert who will rape your daughter; that this country, the world and the internets are filled with scum like this and you never know who they are; that the desire for sex with a minor is a perversion strictly limited to males; that there are good people like corporations and policemen running entrapment cons all over the place to catch bad people; that I can count on NBC and their advertisers for quality community-oriented, public service programming like this; and to trust no one.

The fact that these men will almost certainly be raped in prison lends that fairytale, happy ending, cherry on top, je ne sais qua to the festivities. I left humming the theme song.

I like to think that was comedy.

ben-fairhall has made my memory active. An organisation, I believe, called Butterfly Kisses. Butterflies and paedophiles in one.
