For seven and-a-half years I’ve worked alongside Reagan, and I’m proud to be his partner. We’ve had triumphs, we’ve made mistakes, we’ve had sex... uh, I mean setbacks....” - Vice President George Bush , 6 May 1987

Whence the Margate Grotto? A huge cave with patterns in shells on the walls. Templars, says some.
Democracy's a funny business. You'd assume participatory would be better than representative democracy, but as Stalin said it's not who votes that counts, it's who counts the votes. In the case of Gordon Brown's citizen juries the votes are counted by his friends at "Opinion Leader Research". Self-proclaimed experts in "though leadership". Watch your thoughts with them around. Never know where they might be leading you.
Pollsters, they are. Remember "We Want Wilkie", the BSC rigged the Republic conference using opinion polls. Opinion polls don't reflect opinion, they make it. See "Captive State" by George Monbiot, the part about Southampton. The public consultation was hijacked by someone working for the developer and only his views were reported. There was a minister on the TV or radio last night, I forget which. Might have been this morning. He was talking about a public consultation. The interviewer was asking how many dissenters it would take to change his mind. He didn't give an answer, as any reasonable number would easily be met, he merely said the quality of the submissions would have more impact that brute numbers. Those who agree with the government, thereby demonstrating their responsibility, will no doubt be weighted accordingly heavily.
Still, I'm sure it's all fine.
